Let a fully qualified Lake District Blue Badge Guide  take you on a journey through  the quiet  tracks and trails to the picturesque village of Hawkshead. There will be every opportunity to learn more about this charming village so closely linked with the lives of Beatrix Potter and the schooldays of William Wordsworth. 

We Start out from our Bowness office with an introduction to the electric bike before a short cycle and a ferry trip across the Lake to Ash Landing. The journey ventures northwards along the shores of windermere lake via the shore bridleway to emerge at the Historical Wray Castle. We contine through the village of Outgate and into Hawkshead village itself.  After a lunch stop the tour takes in  the west side of Esthwaite water before re-emerging into Near Sawrey and the Hilltop residence of Beatrix Potter. We return via the road to Ash Landing ans a short Ferry ride Home

Places on the tour must be booked by 10.30am the day before. 

Meeting is 10.30am at our office in Bowness            

Minimum number required to run the tour is 3.

Minimum age to ride an electric bike is 14. .

Photo ID and imprint of a credit/debit card required.
